Nestled in voguish Main Rd Ballarat is Cake Bakeshop, a cosy and charming café and gift shop, where people go for good coffee and a sweet treat.
Sweet 50’s style décor is completed by delicious baked delights and old-fashioned service, giving customers an experience from times gone by.
Unique gifts and goods are complimented by the smells of baked sweets and fresh coffee. Striped or spotty cups and plates, gorgeous goodie bags, pretty twine and old school paper straws of all colours, are all available to add a vintage twist to your special event.
The team is lead by owner Jennifer Hipke, who felt inspired to open a niche baked goods shop, after years of working in retail management and making wedding cakes for family and friends in her spare time.
Jennifer developed a passion for baking, while working alongside her mum in the kitchen when she was just five years old and in recent years, has taken inspiration from travelling the globe and researching industry trends.
After journeying to New York, Los Angeles and London where she experienced the craze first hand, Cake Bakeshop was born and since then has expanded its offerings to include the famous French delicacy, the macaron.
The team bakes the old-fashioned way, handcrafting timeless goods fresh from scratch in small batches throughout the day, using the finest local ingredients.
Cake Bakeshop has established itself as one of regional Victoria’s hidden secrets. A boutique offering that can delight its clients on every occasion.
